Dilara lter saw a fascinating picture happening outside the window of her mother’s home in Turkey one day while visiting her mother.
lter noticed a woman out walking on the street below. Hundreds of various animals surrounded the woman, including cats, dogs, and birds, all ready to join her in some great procession.
lter was taken aback.
“I assumed she was a magician or something the minute I saw her walking like that,” lter told The Dodo.
This was not, however, a sorcerous deed.
It was a loving gesture.
“My mother informed me that [the woman] catches stray animals and feeds them every other day,” lter added.

Knowing the reality just added to the awe of that unique sighting.
“It was such a poetic moment,” lter remarked. “I was astounded by how lovely what she was doing for these creatures was.”
lter saw the woman out again a year later on another visit to see her mother, with her appreciative followers still in tow.

These marches, according to lter, are still going on today. Although the woman’s labor is far from thankless, she appears to prefer full tummies and wagging tails as a kind of reward.
“My mother discovered her and tried to talk to her, but she was too timid to speak,” lter added, emphasizing that the woman is not alone in her good deeds. “There is a lot of food put out for animals on the streets. It’s really rather prevalent in Turkey. Here, stray animals are adored by everybody.”
